There have been several incidents in the past where the gas pipelines of the country have been targeted. This has troubled several people not only in Sindh but also in Punjab and Balochistan. This year the same incident has taken place twice in Rahim Yar Khan and now it is Dera Bugti that thas come under fire.
Reports claim that at least 8 outlaws, who are still unidentified, managed to pave their way to the gas pipelines and blew them up with a certain explosive material.
First an 8-inch diameter pipeline was blown up at the #3 plant and later the outlaws targeted the gas pipeline in Pikroh. In this area a 16-inch diameter gas pipeline was blown by explosive material. This incident also took place in the #3 plant of the area.
The repair work for the damaged pipeline could not start yesterday since people were being requested to stay away due to the heat. Pakistan Petroleum Limited claims that they are going to start the repair work on Wednesday.
