Thursday, March 6th, 2014 8:52:22 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Dera Ghazi Khan that a collision between a bus and a truck left more than 30 people injured in the aftermath.
The incident took place on the Indus Highway, close to the locality of Noor Wala. It happened during the busy hours of the day when both the drivers were driving at a speed which was higher than that was allowed on the road.
It was during these busy hours that the bus which was travelling from Karachi and wanted to reach Bannu lost control and collided with a truck which was coming from the opposite side.
There have been several instances where the bus drivers have lost control due to over-speeding. Despite the several boards which the traffic police displays the bus drivers want to get the maximum fair during the course of the day and that is why they want to drive the bus fast so they can complete more rounds in one go.This leaves several innocent lives at risk.
This is the reason why the traffic police keeps on carrying on different awareness campaigns where they want the people to know that driving safe should be a priority.
For now the rescue activities have been kicked off in the area.
