World Journo Wants Wali Khan Babar’s Murder Plotters Held

The committee that protects journalists stated that they want Wali Khan Babar’s murder plotters held. Wali Babar was 28 years of age and he was the one who covered the seamy side of Karachi. He managed to report several drugs, crime, militancy, and other issues of the area. However, he was shot dead by unknown men back in January 2011.

The coordinator of CJP Asia, Bob Dietz, has stated that he would like to see the development which has been made in order to capture the plotters of Wali Khan Babar’s murderers. He claimed that he would like to see the heads of all the masterminds who were party to this act.

While addressing to the media he said, “Netting the small fry won’t help until the big fish were harpooned.”

He also said, “Though, there were many a legal lacuna in the way the case was pled, however, the final judgment turned out to be a milestone for Pakistan.”

He stated that the government and the Supreme Court should take this matter seriously.

“It is evident from their sincere efforts in Babar’s murder case. I must say it speaks volumes for their bona fide intent for the cause.”
