Munawar Hasan Blames India

It was recently reported from Lahore that the Jamat e Islami Ameer, Munawar Hasan, came out in the open in order to put the blame on India for trying to destabilize the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have been having several issues in the past; the main reason being the presence of Taliban in the neighbouring country. Pakistan has been target to several attacks which were conducted by the Afghani Taliban. However, the government now wants to hold peace talks with them and this is the reason why there were two committees made so that both the parties can come to common ground and all the killing is avoided.

There have been several attacks which Munawar Hasan believes are actually from India’s secret agencies and they are being done in the name of Taliban. He believes that this is not true and strict action must be taken against this.

He stated that the government of Pakistan, so far, has shown seriousness in the case of peace dialogue process. He was later asked whether the army should be involved in the peace talks between both the parties, he stated that since the army is an institution of the government, it can easily be a part of the committee.
