Intel Agencies Nab Militant Commanders in Peshawar
Saturday, March 8th, 2014 8:25:17 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Peshawar that Intel agencies were able to capture two militant commanders. They were both located in Soria Bridge, which is close to the GT Road.
Both these commanders belong to a defunct terror outfit of the Khyber Agency. Right after the arrest both these commanders have been taken to an unknown place and the press was not told about their current location.
Pakistan is currently fighting a war against terrorism and now it is directly in contact with the heads of the outlawed organization, Tehreek E Taliban.
At first Pakistan decided to hold peace talks with Taliban so that there could be a ceasefire. However, they decided to kill all the 23 FC personnel who they had in their captivity since 2010. Pakistan decided to bombard North Waziristan in return. This caused havoc in the area as several people lost their lives since airstrikes were being conducted.
Now it is being decided by both the parties that there should be a ceasefire and they should both hold peace talks. This is why there have been relatively fewer blasts in the past two days.
For now the outcome of the peace talks is yet to be awaited.
