Four Kashmiri Students Expelled from Indian Varsity
Monday, March 10th, 2014 9:49:28 by Ahmad MehdiPakistan and India were both taking part in the Asia Cup. The fan following for both the teams is quite strong and the match is well anticipated because of political rivalry between them.
The match that was taking place in Bangladesh was watched by Indian and Pakistani fans. However, the most absurd turn of events took place when Kashmiri students were expelled from an Indian university because they were cheering for the Pakistani cricket team.
The first incident took place after the first day of the match as Pakistan managed to beat India. Later, a few students were expelled from Sharda University in Greater Noida of Uttar Pardesh. They were all cheering for the Pakistani national team and the university decided to expel them all.
Another incident took place this week; eight days after the match took place between the two teams. Four more Kashmiri students have been expelled from Indian varsity as they were also reported to be cheering for Pakistan.
Four of these students hail from Jammu and Kashmir while two are from Aligarh University. The institution has not yet issued a statement regarding the expulsion and the reason why these students were asked to leave.
