Lady Traffic Wardens make a comeback in Lahore to manage traffic

Sohail Chaudhry, the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) was present at the inauguration of the lady warden patrolling batch, which was held at Liberty Market’s parking lot. Senior officials like the headquarters SP, and traffic police officers were also present in the ceremony along with citizens of the city.
The wardens reportedly underwent two months of training before taking to the roads and the first batch is ready to manage traffic. They started from the Liberty area and went to Fawara Chowk, along with officials and citizens.
250cc heavy bikes have been given to the lady traffic wardens and t hey have been trained under the supervision of qualified traffic officials like Gulab Singh, who is a sikh traffic warden.
Moreover, to ensure their safety, Atlas Honda experts also provided full mechanical training to the lady wardens, who will be patrolling certain main roads in the city and will also respond to emergency situations.
When Interviewed by the media, the lady wardens stated that they are fearless and will hold everyone equal before the eyes of the law.
