Taliban Shura, Govt. Committee Meeting Place to be Decided in 2-3 Days
Monday, April 7th, 2014 12:05:45 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Peshawar that currently both the parties, the government and the Taliban committee, are decided where to meet for the peace talks to progress between them.
Pakistani government and the Taliban committee have both been trying to meet up for peace talks and negotiations but that has not been the case so far. Both the parties are trying to find a suitable place for the talks to take place.
It all started when the Pakistani government took the initiative for the peace talks. However, a Tehreek e Taliban leader decided to kill the 23 FC Troops which they held captive since 2010. This angered the Pakistani forces and they were asked to hold down an operation against Tehreek E Taliban, who were mostly residing in North Waziristan.
Several airstrikes took place and many secret militant hideouts were made the target. This resulted in Taliban coming forward for a compromise and now both the parties want to come to common terms.
Professor Ibrahim, who is a member of the Tehreek E Taliban committee, has now claimed that they are decided a venue for these talks to take place and soon a decision will take place.
