Rehman Malik Not in Favour of Releasing Terrorists for Innocents
Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 7:43:51 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Islamabad that the former Interior Minister of Pakistan, Rehman Malik, came out in the open and defied how Pakistani government is currently entering peace talks with Tehreek E Taliban.
Pakistan and Taliban have always wanted to enter these peace talks and now it is finally time for both the parties to come to common terms. In order for the peace talks to continue, two committees have been formed which represent one party each.
The venue for these peace talks is yet to be decided and then the government is finally going to enter the next phase of this whole process.
Rehman Malik, however, came out in the open and said that he does not understand how the Pakistani government is trying to negotiate with the terrorists. He says that Tehreek E Taliban are currently demanding the release of their militants who Pakistanis have held captive. On the other hand, Pakistan is going to demand for innocent people which the Taliban have held captive.
He said that he does not understand how this trade is fair as innocent lives are not equal to militants’ lives which the Pakistanis have captures after losing several innocent lives.
