Blast in Lahore Leaves 12 Injured

It was recently reported from Lahore that a bomb blast took place in a shop that his located at Pakistan Chowk in Ichra Area of the city.

Mostly such incidents are directly linked with Tehreek E Taliban, whenever they take place. However, the most recent blast which took place in Rawalpindi was also said to be an act of a third party and not Tehreek E Taliban.

Similarly, this incident has been linked with another party as well. The shopkeeper explained what exactly happened and why the blast took place.

He stated that he was receiving threats regarding his shop for quite some time now. He said that the extortionist would call him and ask for 2 million Rupees in return.

The shopkeeper also explained how the extortionist also fired at his house last week and is continuing to bully him throughout this time.

When he was inquired whether he told the police about the whole incident he said that he did but nothing could be done about it.

The twelve injured people in the blast were taken to the Services Hospital so they can fully recover from their wounds.

The bomb disposal squad stated that at least 300 grams of explosives were used in the blast.
