Peace Talk an Internal Matter of Pakistan
Thursday, April 10th, 2014 7:43:01 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Islamabad that the foreign office spokesperson, Tasnim Aslam, came out in the open and stated that no third party should be involved in the peace talks which are taking place between the Pakistani government and the outlawed organization, Tehreek E Taliban.
Since the past few months the amount of terrorist attacks were increasing. This was due to the fact that Tehreek E Taliban was involved in most of these incidents. Now things have changed. Pakistani government is trying to hold peace talks with the outlawed organization so both the parties can come to common ground.
At first when the peace talks were about to begin, Tehreek E Taliban decided to kill the 23 FC Troops which they held captive since 2010. In return, the Pakistani army decided to hold airstrikes at North Waziristan. Several secret militant hideouts were destroyed in the process and that is when the Taliban decided to hold peace talks with Pakistan.
Now both the parties are going to meet at a neutral venue and take a final decision regarding the whole situation.
The foreign office believes that no other party should be involved in these talks as it is an internal matter of Pakistan.
