The telecommunications sector destroys 22 percent of employment in eight years

Telefónica of Spain had 33,917 employees at the beginning of 2005, now have been in 21,705 (36%); while RTVE has increased from 9346-6325 (32.3 % less).
Movistar employed in 2005-4522 people, who are now 4,231 (6.4% less); The Orange has dropped to 3,628 (16.4 %) and Vodafone to 3,614 (19.3 % less).
In early 2005 Ono gave work to 4,352 people, who are now 2,543 (41.5 % less); while, on the contrary, Catalan Television has increased its staff by 4.53 % (up to 2,030 people), indicated in the latest quarterly statistical bulletin of telecommunications and audiovisual CNMC.
Finally, the template under ” rest ” is estimated at 16,904 people, 2.2% more.
In the last two years (fourth quarter of 2011 and the same 2013) effective cutting of all the operators have been 6,954 people as it has grown from a global workforce of 67,934 to one of 60,980, 10.2 % less.
Most Telefónica has left 4,422 people; while between 2012 and 2013 have increased their staff Movistar (in 103 persons, 2.49%), Catalan Television (149, 7.9%) and Orange (626 more, 20.8%).
