While searching Malasya Airlines plane that disappeared on March 8 with 239 people on board meets the tenth day undersea mission, a residue found on a beach in South Australia opens a new expectation of finding some trace of MH370. Australian police reported Wednesday the discovery of material on a beach 10 miles from Augusta (320 kilometers south of Perth, on the southwestern tip of the continent), according to the Australian government agency that coordinates JACC search.

The object appears to be metal and rivets, explained Martin Dolan, chief commissioner of the Office of the Australian Transport Safety (ATSB). So far the authorities only have photographs of the recovered material (which was still in police custody at the police station Busselton) but and sent to the research team in Malaysia. The ATSB will decide if further analysis of the material are needed to determine if you have connection to the MH370.

Dolan told CNN that he found it ” interesting enough ” take a look at the images but cooled expectations about the possibility concerned the first physical rest of the Boeing 777. ” The more we looked less enthusiastic ” photographs, said. On several occasions in the last month and a half objects found at sea or oily debris have opened then hopes have proved futile.

This Wednesday visual search with air assets for a second day was suspended due to bad weather. Remain in the search area 12 ships involved in the operation, including the Ocean Shield, from which the autonomous underwater Bluefin -21 (operating company Phoenix International in a multiyear contract with the Navy operates United States) to search sonar wreckage some 4,500 meters deep. The submarine has already combed Artemis 80% of the designated search area with a radius of 10 kilometers from the point where a possible signal emitted by the black boxes on April 8 was detected.

Despite these efforts fruitless moment the Australian Prime Minister, Tony Abbott, promises that finding MH370 continue until the “mystery” is solved. Abbott has acknowledged that the search strategy might change if scanning the seabed he is holding the remains of Artemis not locate B- 777.

” We may have to rethink the search but will not rest until we have done everything possible to solve this mystery,” said Abbott. “The only way to get to the bottom of this is to keep looking the likely impact area until we find something or until we have thoroughly searched everything that human ingenuity enables us right now,” he added.

Malaysian authorities also are seeking to continue ” forever”, according to Minister of Transport acting Hishammuddin Hussein. He confirmed that in fact it is increasing the resources available for search in the deep sea, said at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, adding that the government is seeking the help of the state oil company Petronas for its experience in underwater exploration. The minister added that the government has formally approved the formation of an independent international research team.
