Warid Telecom Jumping into 4G
Friday, April 25th, 2014 2:38:32 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently revealed that Pakistan has sold 3G and 4G licences to different telecom companies that are operating within the country. Besides Warid Telecom, all the other telecom companies were able to get their hands on a license.
The first 4G license was given to Zong, who were the underdogs in the bidding. They also managed to get a 3G license as they were making a bid for it.
Other companies who have a 3G license include the likes of Telenor, Ufone and Mobilink. These companies have received their licenses and they are going to be launching the 3G connections as soon as one month; since PTA has ordered that all the companies have to launch this service within a span of one month.
With each and every company operating within Pakistan having at least a 3G license, there were several Warid users who weren’t happy with the decision of the company. Warid wasn’t even part of the bidding and the users were unhappy about how they will have to switch to a different network in order to enjoy 3G or 4G service.
Now, however, the tides have turned. Warid has managed to come out with an absolutely different game plan. The company is planning to buy a 4G license in order to surprise its customers.

The country is not even 100% ready for 3G or should I say not everyone will start using 3G right away due to higher prices or trraif. It will not be a wise decision.
its not a big deal , because the prices will be higher at the beginning but will get stable within 6 or 8 months . its a new tech in Pakistan but not in the world.
A positive development awaited since long. And i hope PTA will ensure quality of service provided by these companies. Last but not least, warid pleased warid users.
What tariff do we expect for 3G and 4G?
