The hospital keeps a murderous three Americans in Kabul

Three United States citizens killed and one was injured as a result of the shooting of a security guard at Cure International Hospital, west of Kabul, Afghanistan. The dead were a doctor and a father with a son.

The gunman is a former policeman who worked as a security guard at the hospital, consultant child and maternal health. The attacker was wounded and arrested by a security guard at the entrance of the center, which is run by a charity in the United States.

Attacks on foreigners in Kabul, which until two years ago provided a margin of safety to the many foreign residents have increased in recent months. The deadliest attack was a suicide last January against a Lebanese restaurant frequented by foreigners. The attack killed about 21 people, including 13 foreigners.

After this attack, there have been other incidents in Kabul as the Taliban armed fighters launched an attacke at Serena hotel and the attack last week against a U.S. NGO guesthouse in which seven people, including a ten year old girl died.

The German photojournalist Anja Niedringhaus was gunned down in early April in eastern Afghanistan in an attack in which another reporter Kathy Gannon from Canada was seriously injured when both were covering the  first round of the Afghan presidential elections.
