Italy declassified documents relating to major attacks
Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 5:31:02 by Abdul Basit AbbasiMystery and his accomplice suspicion still reign on a black stage and very recent history of Italy. It is unclear exactly what happened, who was behind or even who from the sewers or the offices of the state allowed such terrible attacks such as the Piazza Fontana in Milan in 1969 -17 people dead and 88 wounded – station killing Bologna in 1980 -85 and 200 dead or wounded – called slaughter of Ustica, demolition, allegedly by a missile, a commercial airliner that the June 27, 1980 en route from Bologna to Palermo with 81 passengers on board. Successive Italian governments, whatever their political color, have been systematically resisting opening their despite pleas from the families of the victims files. Matteo Renzi, however, is willing to do. The new Italian prime minister on Tuesday signed a directive to declassify all documents relating to eight major attacks in Italy from 1969 to 1984.
It will not, despite everything, from one day to another. The documents will be sent first by the ministries involved, mainly Foreign Affairs, Interior and Defence and the various intelligence services to the State Archives. Declassification is then carried out in chronological order, starting with the oldest, but in any case leaving aside the requirement of 40 years of secrecy as provided by law. Since the government warns that ” who approaches the files for scandalous news scoop or they will be disappointed.” In the same direction Ezio Mauro, the director of La Repubblica, the newspaper anticipated the news was delivered. ” The smoking gun is not among the documents,” explains graphically, ” the documents are not brought to the guilty, but serve to reconstruct frames, complicity and highlight inconsistencies and contradictions.”
What it reveals is immediate confirmation of a turnaround. The “revolution” Matteo Renzi want to print to Italian politics is going beyond more or less effective, as economic measures which, concerning the work, have divided the own center-left or roughly populist promises, dictated in part by its nature and in another by the need to fight on their own ground to the emerging Movement 5 Stars (M5S) Beppe Grillo and Silvio Berlusconi. It is, above all, to convince the Italians rightly skeptical that perhaps another form of government possible. The darkness has been one of the most entrenched vices of Breed, another great privileges. The light on the accounts and on the secrets begins to strip the shield.
