Shahid Nazir to file Petition against Moin Khan
Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 1:04:38 by Ahmad MehdiPakistan recently managed to pick a new chief selector for their team in the shape of Moin Khan. However, the former Pakistani seamer, Shahid Nazir, has revealed that he is going to file a petition against the former captain and wicketkeeper and the current chief selector of the Pakistani cricket team. He said that this particular petition is being lodged in regard to the outstanding payments of the players who were participating in the Indian Cricket League, which is now defunct.
While addressing the press, Shahid Nazir said,
“The case is being filed against Moin because he signed on players for the ICL through his company and charged us a 15 percent commission from each player from the agreed contract amount,” Nazir claimed.
“He is responsible for ensuring we get our long outstanding dues since he was the ICL agent/representative in Pakistan. We have waited for a long time. Last year, I had sent a legal notice to Moin through my lawyer but then seniors like Inzamam–Haq, Muhammad Yosuf, Imran Farhat and others got involved and assured me the matter would be soon be resolved. But this has not happened and I have no option but to seek legal recourse. We were not paid at all for the final year and even before that.”
