Malaysia recommended that flights are monitored in real time

The Malaysian Government has proposed to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) of the United Nations, to install  a system of continuous monitoring commercial aircraft and real time tracking of all flights. This is to facilitate the location of equipment in cases of disappearance as happened on March 8 with Malaysia Airlines MH370, supposedly sunk in the southern Indian Ocean.

A preliminary report on the flight MH370, developed by experts at the request of the Government of Malaysia, sheds no new clues about the whereabouts of the remains of the Boeing 777, but determined that the search operation took four hours to be initiated. The Malaysian authorities cited, besides the case of Malaysia Airlines, on the Air France flight AF447 disappeared in 2009 in the Atlantic, while covering the Rio de Janeiro -Paris route. “There have been two occasions in the last five years in which large commercial aircraft have disappeared and the last position was not precisely known, ” recalled the experts.

The authorities add that this lack of information complicates how “significant ” the search and recovery remains. In the case of flight Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, it remains unclear the exact location of the plane crash, traveling aboard which 239 people, mostly Chinese and Malaysian. First he looked in the Gulf of Thailand, in the area where the last known contact was. Search the Straits of Malacca and, later, the Andaman Sea is then expanded. On March 24, new analyzes of data from Inmarsat, which took into account changes in signal frequency satellite communications, said the plane flew to the southern Indian Ocean, in an area far from land.

So far it has not found any trace of MH370, although 26 countries, 82 aircraft and 84 ships arrived to take part in operations to locate it. The search efforts this week entered a new phase after the record proves fruitless Indian places where it was thought he was.
