PTI Protest will Strengthen Democracy and Save Pakistan, says Imran Khan

PTI is staging a protest against rigging in the elections and failure of legal system to provide justice to the party.
PTI plans to present a Charter of Demands at D-Chowk in Islamabad, identifying the current government’s wrongdoing and give proposals to correct the Pakistan’s electoral system. Imran Khan has given call for sit in protest in Islamabad on May 11, 2014.
PTI Chairman has said that his protest is not to derail the democracy in Pakistan it is against the rigging of elections. He reminded that he accepted the elections but never accepted the rigging and has been trying to get justice without any result.
Imran Khan said, “The PTI has knocked on each and every door including the Supreme Court, the Election Commission of Pakistan and the election tribunals to get justice but all in vain.”
“The PTI demands that those who committed rigging in the elections should be punished and tried under Article 6,” Khan added.“Where there is no justice and fair elections, real democracy cannot exist and prosper.”
Khan alleges that government gave Rs500 billions for helping Pakistan Muslim League (N) to gain majority in the election.
Other parties such as Jamat-e-Islami, and Pakistan Awami Tehreek will also be joining hands with PTI in the protest on May 11.
