Government Allows PTI Protest Rally on May 11 in Islamabad
Saturday, May 10th, 2014 3:37:08 by Khalil KhanFinally interior ministry gave the green signal to permit the protest rally by Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad on May 11, 2014 attaching a number of strings to the organizers. Capital Authority had issued the No Objection Certificate to the protest rally organizers.
Imran Khan’s PTI had announced to stage protest against rigging of the general elections and unveil the corruption charge-sheet against the government on May 11, 2014. The NOC has a number of conditions which will be the organizers’ responsibility to ensure that rally is held peacefully without any mishap.
No weapons or batons are allowed in the rally and organizers are asked to provide a foolproof security plan for the participants of the rally.
Red Zone area in Islamabad will be no-go area for the participants and they will not be allowed to enter Red Zone during the protest.
Islamabad administration has given the permission to hold the protest rally from 10:30am to midnight on at the D-Chowk on May 11.
The Capital administration officials said, “But the NOC can be withdrawn at any time without any notice.”
PTI plans to present a Charter of Demands at D-Chowk in Islamabad, identifying the current government’s wrongdoing and give proposals to correct the Pakistan’s electoral system. Imran Khan has given call for sit in protest in Islamabad on May 11, 2014.
PTI Chairman has said that his protest is not to derail the democracy in Pakistan it is against the rigging of elections. He reminded that he accepted the elections but never accepted the rigging and has been trying to get justice without any result.

Imran Khan had earlier said that protest on May 11 in Islamabad is not aimed at toppling the government, it is an attempt to save Pakistan and strengthen the democracy in the country. PTI is staging a protest against rigging in the elections and failure of legal system to provide justice to the party.
