New York is Preparing to Open Memorial Museum to Honor Victims of 9/11

A black coffin draped with the flag of the United States arrived this morning at Ground Zero, guarded by members of the police and firefighters, with the unidentified remains of victims of the attacks on the Twin Towers cons. It is one of the events preceding the opening this week of the Memorial Museum, where they will rest permanently. A project that was dominated by disputes over arranged with family and delays.

The Memorial Museum will open on May 15 with a six-day ceremony to remember the 2,983 people who died in the terrorist attack. During that time it will be a place of worship reserved for relatives of the victims and anyone who was directly affected by the attacks, which can explore the space 24 hours until 21 May, when open to the public.

The long wait will end at that time. The initial idea was that the Memorial Museum had been open for the tenth anniversary of the attack. From day 21, the Memorial Museum will open to the public with regular hours of nine in the morning until eight in the evening local. The ticket price was set at $ 24 per adult, similar to that applied in other tourist attractions. Last November the opening ceremony of 4WTC, one of the new skyscrapers that rise above the also known as Ground Zero was held.
