Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 2:01:21 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Lahore that a representative of The National Transmission and Dispatch Company came out in the open and claimed that currently the nationwide electricity load shedding has been stopped.
The representatives of NTDC revealed that the current weather in the country and the rain has bridged the demand and supply gap which existed. Therefore, for now all those areas that are experiencing load shedding will not go through this problem. However, it was also stated that now a new schedule for the load shedding hours is going to be revealed soon.
The spokesman said that for now the demand and supply are balancing perfectly. He stated that the currently needs 11000 megawatts of electricity and that is exactly how much is being made by the limited number of grids that are currently placed throughout Pakistan.
He further gave good news to the society by stating that the supply of furnace oil and gas to all the powerhouses has been increased as well. He also claimed that the new demand and supply gap will be revealed once the weather changes. That is why the people responsible are waiting for that to happen so they can make a load shedding schedule accordingly.
