Erdogan Accused of Punching Protester in Soma

On Thursday some photographs where Erdogan advisorYusuf Yerke is seen kicking a protester, and Friday an amateur video in which the prime minister allegedly assaulted a citizen has come to light.
In the video released by the Turkish press, especially the opposition, you see how Erdogan, surrounded by a crowd demanding his resignation. Then he went into a supermarket, where he allegedly slapped the protester in the midst of the confusion, according to Efe.
The protester who was assaulted described what happened to a local radio station, which he said was not part of the protesters but was in the store to shop. “I ended up face to face with Prime Minister while his bodyguards were pushing people, he was angry with the crowd and could not control,. Unfortunately ended up giving me a slap,” said the man, identified as Taner kuruca.
The Turkish press indicates that after the incident, the safety equipment of the prime minister tried to confiscate all recordings of video cameras in the area, but ended up on the cover of several newspapers in Turkey.
