Pakistan, Africa gear up for Business

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) held the third LCCI-Africa show on Wednesday, at Lahore. The show consisting of a exhibition and a conference attracted large amount of people, businessmen and political figures.
The show went on through out the day in order to provide information to interested people who wanted to do business with the African Union. The members of the African Union who participated in the show included: Sudan, Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco, South Africa, Somalia, Kenya and Libya.
The Provincial Minister Mujtaba Shujar Rehman said: “The interaction with foreign ambassadors working in Pakistan is a prerequisite to increase business with the world.” He further said that the Pakistan business community and their African counterparts could work hand in hand and take advantage of the number of untapped markets, which have great potential.
The Dean of African Group and the Ambassador of Algeria Ahmed Benflis said. “The African Union has moved on the path of political, economic, social and cultural development of the African countries. “We are working with all the chambers of commerce and industries of Pakistan with the purpose of improving trade and investment among our countries.”
