The news about Pakistan making footballs for the world’s largest footballing event, the FIFA World Cup 2014, became viral. However, what people don’t know is the fact that Pakistan has managed to export 42 million footballs after they were given the contract.

These balls are worth Rs. 17.473 million and currently there are arrangements being made at the dry port so that the shipment can reach South America on time.

Sialkot-made football will be used in Brazil after a gap of 32 years. The ball has been labelled “Brazuca” which is an informal way of describing the Brazilian way of life.

This ball, compared to all others, is different and better. It is being said that the design is new and has never been used before by anyone else in the world. There is a six-panel design which is being used by the producers. This means that the ball is going to have improved grip, touch, stability and aerodynamics on the field.

Pakistan gained recognition in this particular industry back in the year 1982, when they managed to make the “Tango Balls” for the FIFA World Cup taking place during that year. Since then the Pakistani city, Sialkot, has managed to become a hub for sporting goods.
