Younis Khan Wants a World Cup Call-up
Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 10:49:32 by Ahmad MehdiYounis Khan who is now 36 years old and also happens to be the ex-captain of the Pakistan Cricket team thinks that he should be called to play the world cup happening next year. He believes that he deserves a call up for all the service he has provided to the cricket team for more than 10 years.
Later on Tuesday he said that he will retire whenever he wants to and the board should not force this issue upon him. He added that he hasn’t decided the dates when he will retire from Test and ODI cricket but when the time comes he will retire at his own will.
In the national training camps despite his age Younis Khan is still considered one of the fittest players in the camps and is still a part of the Pakistan test team.
Training camps have been established in Lahore by the PCB with the consent of the senior players. PCB wants the senior players to train and motivate the youngsters who are in the team.
Mr Khan also said that these kinds of camps have been started after 6 or 7 years and usually they do not get such a long time away from International cricket. But these camps help you in getting insights about your fitness and tell you what improvements are needed to be done.
