MQM Will Continue Protests Until Altaf Hussain’s Health Assured

Altaf Hussain had earlier spoken to the party leaders on phone and asked them to respect the law and stay peaceful.
MQM leaders appealed to the business community to resume business activities in the city. Karachi came to stand still after the arrest of Altaf Hussain. A number of public transport vehicles were torched and businesses were shut down forcefully.
Farooq Sattar said that conditions in the Karachi city are returning to normal after the MQM appeal.
Sattar further added that the protest had proved Karachi was a peaceful city. It also show the level of control MQM have in Karachi. Violence and lock down started as soon as news of MQM leader’s arrest broke in Pakistan. Now after the appeal, city is returning to normal.
MQM leader also told reporters that lawyers of Altaf Hussain will file a bail application after reviewing the situation.
Acting Pakistan High Commissioner in London has met Altaf Hussain on instructions from Pakistan government in hospital and told reporters MQM leader is doing well.
Imran Khan had objected the MQM protest in Karachi as unjustified and asked MQM workers not to punish Pakistani people for legal actions of British government.
