Pakistani Talibans Claim Terrorist Attack on Karachi Airport

Pakistani Taliban have claimed in a statement that they have carried out the terrorist attack on the Karachi international airport that killed 20 persons. All the 10 terrorists were also killed by the Pakistan security forces. Taliban claim that it is revenge for the killing of ‘innocent people’.
Shahidullah Shahid, spokesman for Pakistani Taliban said in the statement, “It’s just the beginning, we have taken revenge for one (Mehsud), we have to take revenge for hundreds.”
“We carried out this attack on the Karachi airport and it is a message to the Pakistan government that we are still alive to react over the killings of innocent people in bomb attacks on their villages,” Shahidullah Shahid said.
The spokesperson claimed that the attack was planned much earlier but had been postponed due to the peace talks.
Shahidullah further said in the statement that the attack was also carried out to avenge the killing of Hakimullah Mehsud in a US drone strike.
Taliban terrorists started the attack on the Karachi Jinnah International Airport on Sunday night using fake IDs of airport security forces. According to ISPR, they were carrying Indian made weapons and ammunition during the attack. The airport was cleared after about four hours exchange of gun fire. Security forces killed the attackers.
