Court Orders to Remove Musharraf from ECL After 15 Days

General Pervez Musharraf be removed from the exit control list (ECL) after 15 days. Court also ruled that Musharraf cannot leave the country during this period.
Two judge bench of Singh High court has ruled in the petition of Pervez Musharraf to get his name removed from ECL. Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Shahnawaz said in the decision that court can be approached within 15 days to oppose the decision. After 15 days time period, Musharraf’s name will be struck of the ECL.
Sindh High Court had reserved the decision on May 29. Attorney General Pakistan Salman Aslam Butt had opposed allowing Musharraf removed from ECL.
Musharraf’s lawyer Barrister Farogh Nasim said that Musharraf will return to Pakistan even if leaves the country. He also said that there was no need to get permission from the government of Pakistan to travel abroad once his name is removed from ECL after 15 days.
