Harrowing rescue of immigrants on the Italian coast

Three immigrants died on Monday night, and six are missing after falling into the sea during the rescue operations at sea military port of Pozzallo (Sicily), according to Italian media.
Nearly 2,000 undocumented migrants attempting to access the channel Italy Sicily last weekend, were helped by the watchdog Mare Nostrum and moved to different ports to receive healthcare. About 100 of these immigrants fell into the sea after the boat they were traveling was capsized.
Italy has rescued about 5200 undocumented immigrants since last Thursday while trying to reach Italy from North Africa.
