Sheikh Rasheed postpone train march against government
Tuesday, June 17th, 2014 9:43:45 by Shakira SubhaniSheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief, has announced to postpone the train march against the government scheduled for June 20 due to security concerns. He has said that he had been informed that suicide bombers can attack him during the train march.
Sheikh Rasheed said that he will announce the new date for train march after consulting with Dr. Tahir ul Qadri after his arrival in Pakistan on June 23.
Sheikh Rasheed has claimed that Pakistan railway administration has informed him that security of the train is not possible during his planned train march. He was also informed by the intelligence agencies about the possible attack by suicide bombers to kill him duriing the train march.
Rasheed condemend the deaths of 8 Pakistani Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers and claimed that police has killed PAT activists in Lahore for supporting Pakistan army operation in north Waziristan.
