Punjab government releases arrested PAT workers

Punjab government has decided to release all the arrested workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Minhajul Quran as part of the negotiations between Dr. Tahirul Qadri and Governor Punjab Mohammad Sarwar.
According to reports in local media, Punjab government had instructed the Punjab police to provide foolproof security to Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri. Punjab government has also decided to release the arrested activists of PAT.
Governor Punjab Mohammad Sarwar had met with Dr. Qadri on his residence in Model Town and assured that government will release all the PAT workers. Governor Punjab also said that all necessary steps will be taken to ensure the payment of financial support to the families of workers who died in the tragic incident in Lahore.
Mohammad Sarwar also conveyed Punjab government message to Dr. Qadri and assured foolproof security. According to media reports, Dr. Qadri thanked Punjab government for the decision to release arrested PAT workers.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assigned Mohammad Sarwar a special task to negotiate with Dr Tahirul Qadri. Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashahud after discussion with secretary Punjab decided to release the PAT workers.
