Pakistan Intends to Keep the Peace Process with India Alive

Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Jalil Abbas Jilani, came out in the open and claimed spoke regarding this topic while speaking to the media in Washington. He stated that all the disputes between the two countries should be sorted out through dialogue as there is no other way of sorting these problems out. He emphasized on the fact that regional cooperation can benefit both the countries.
The ambassador also directly pointed out at the Jammu and Kashmir dispute amongst other big problems. Siachen, Sir Creek and water disputes were also made a part of the conversation.
The ambassador to the United States claimed that these issues should all be addressed peacefully and through political channels.
India recently elected a new government with Narendra Modi being their new leader. Pakistani Prime Minister, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, visited the neighbouring country and extended his hand for peace and prosperity in the region. Pakistan and India are now expected to get involved in dialogues regarding certain problems.
