Pakistan Not Prepared for Refugees
Friday, June 27th, 2014 6:00:41 by Ahmad MehdiPakistan is currently in a state of war against Taliban and the people who they are allowing to flee from the Waziristan region are all coming to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and sources claim that the country is not prepared to handle the refugee situation.
Almost half a million people are fleeing from action that is taking place in North Waziristan.
The country was actually looking forward to army bombarding Taliban after a chain of events led to several losses of lives. However, it was later realized by the authorities how refugees can become a huge problem for them.
The number that is being given by the sources is approximately 466,000. With these people moving inside the country, there was less infrastructure and preparation done for them. Plus, other provinces have closed their doors for these people which means that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will have to singlehandedly take care of them.
Ghani Rahman, who fully analyzed the situation stated, “This food is not from the Pakistan government, it is from the WFP. We are very thankful to the WFP because otherwise my family could not survive.”
Pakistan is in dire need of help at the moment and aid is being accepted from the whole country; if anyone is willing to do so.
