The most recent incident took place on Saturday in the Town of Toba Tek Singh.

The police official said, “She was taken to a local hospital which referred her to the main hospital but she died before reaching there. The boy loved her and had also sent a proposal to marry her, but that was rejected by her family.”
The girl’s father later revealed why the proposal was rejected saying, “He used to harass my daughter – yesterday he came in the afternoon and threatened dire consequences after we asked him to avoid coming again.”
