Foreigners will Now Need NOC to Visit KPK
Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 3:55:06 by Ahmad MehdiIt was recently reported from Peshawar that the home and tribal department has asked all the provincial and federal ministries to inform the department at least 7 days before any foreigner visits an area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently going through a trying time. The Pakistani army is in a state of war as they are fighting against the militants who are residing in the North Waziristan region. However, before bombarding a certain area, the Pakistani army announces that it will give a safe passage to those who will come to Pakistan and register themselves. These Internally Displaced People have all settled in the region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
This means that the threat in the region has highly increased. This is why a statement issued on Monday requested the ministries to keep a gap of at least seven days before sending a foreigner into the region. This is being done so that the process of NOC can be completed on time.
Prior information is needed so that a foolproof plan can be made. Moreover, this is being done so that the concerned authorities can keep a check on certain things.
In order to avoid any embarrassment, at least a five day procedure is to be completed for providing security to these foreigners entering the area.
