Militants in Syria crucified 9 rebels for being moderate
Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 8:54:15 by Jamshed SindhuThe Islamic State of Iraq and the Syria (ISIS) has killed eight Syrian rebels in the city of Aleppo on the grounds that they were too moderate, as reported by the activist group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
According to sources, the eight men were executed in the main square of Deir Hafer (Aleppo) and their bodies were left to remain there for three days. Their bodies, according to the observatory, still in sight.
The ISIS accused eight rebels of being Sahwa, a term used to refer jihadi fighters of being under the command of the Western powers.
In addition, the ISIS crucified another man in the province of Al Bab near the border with Syria. The victim spent eight hours on the cross as punishment “for bearing false witness” but survived torture.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights clashes between factions of Islamist groups in Syria have killed 7,000 people since January.
