Sethi Reveals Pakistan will earn $450m in 8 Years
Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 3:51:27 by Ahmad MehdiNajam Sethi has been working positively to develop cricket further in Pakistan. The country recently managed to get named in the Big Four of the cricketing world; falling right behind Australia, India and England.
Recently the chief of Pakistani cricketing body claimed that the country will be earning $450 million in the next eight years as they will be hosting four competitions against India.
Pakistan and India have already signed a contract where they have agreed upon playing a total of six series against each other. Two of these six series will be hosted by India and four will be hosted by Pakistan.
While talking about how Pakistan needs to revamp in order to end bankruptcy in the cricketing sector, Najam Sethi said, “We would have been left isolated and gone bankrupt in two years had we not approved the revamp. We get the most revenues when we play with India and if all goes well we are set to earn $300 million from the four series we host against India.”
He further added how Pakistan is going to benefit from what ICC has promised them. He said, “Pakistan have been included in the executive committee of the ICC for one year, with India, Australia and England as the permanent members, which means we will be at the forefront of most of the decisions. I can say with confidence that in the next eight year cycle we will get $150 million from the ICC.”

Mr Najam Sethi forgot to add that one more cowardly terrorist attack from Pakistani soil, and Pakistan Cricket Board won’t be seeing a dollar of the $450 million – India will snap all cricketing ties, if not worse.
