Surveillance of Pakistani politicians by NSA is violation of International laws

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Tasneem Aslam has said on Wednesday July 3, 2014 that surveillance of Pakistani politicians by United States National Security Agency (NSA) is violation of international laws. Tasneem Aslam further said that Pakistan is taking up the matter with US administration and all necessary measures are being adopted to protect cyber communications against spying.

Tasneem Aslam told a weekly briefing to the media  the U.S. espionage by the Pakistani political party is a violation of international law, though not information is available but the issue of espionage has been raised with the United States.

The spokesman said the shelling by Indian Army along Line of Control last night wounded one Pakistani army personal and meeting of the local commanders have been called to resolve the issue.

The spokesperson said that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visit of Jammu and Kashmir does not change Pakistan’s position and it is still consider it a disputed territory. She said there are more Pakistanis are in Indian prisons than shown on the list of prisoners provided by India. She said that many Pakistanis who have completed their sentence are still being held in prison and there are 116 fishermen and 264 civilians held in Indian prisons. 

Foreign Office spokesman said that Afghan allegations on Pakistan are baseless and Afghan government has not provided any evidence to the Pakistan.  She added that Tehreek-e-Taliban leader Maulvi Fazlullah is conducting operations against Pakistan from within Afghanistan.

Regarding the current crisis in Iraq, she said Pakistan is concerned about the situation in Iraq and Syria and all Pakistanis in Iraq are safe. She further added that many Pakistanis have been moved to safer places from the troubled city of Tikrit.
