Explosion in Karachi killed 2 persons

A powerful explosion in Karachi Saddar near a parking plaza on Parade Street has resulted in deaths of two people and wounding several. Rescue teams have shifted the victims to the Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
The explosion could be heard from many kilometers away. About four kg of explosive material and ball bearing were used in the explosive device that also damaged several vehicles.
Police has cordoned off the area and Bomb Disposal squad is also arrived at the scene of the blast.
Karachi police chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo has told reporters that a man was carrying explosive on a motorcycle which collided with another motorcycle that was also carrying explosive triggering the blast that killed the two suspected terrorist. However, he said that it would be premature to say that it was a suicide blast .
DIG East Munir Ahmad Sheikh said that according to preliminary investigations, the suicide bomber on a motorcycle was heading towards a unknown target when it hit another motorcycle. He further said that final statement would be released after further investigation. Police has recovered a human head from the location which could be of the suspected bomber.
