Pakistan supports efforts for cessation of unilateral Israeli aggression
Wednesday, July 9th, 2014 8:56:06 by Nadeem BajwaPakistan supports the international community’s efforts for the cessation of unilateral Israeli aggression on Gaza killing Palestinians including women and children, said Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasneem Aslam in a statement on Wednesday July 9, 2014. The statement said that Pakistan condemns Israeli military offensive.
Tasneem Aslam said that loss of lives in Gaza is a matter of deep concern for Pakistan. “Pakistan is deeply concerned over the recent escalation of violence and loss of lives in Gaza and has consistently supported the Palestinian cause, especially the two-state solution which paves the way for a viable, geographically contiguous Palestinian state, created on the basis of pre-1967 borders, with Al Quds Al-Sharif as its capital,” Ms Aslam added.
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered its Army for offensive on the Gaza after the escalation of violence due to deaths of three Israeli teens. Netanyahu blamed Hamas for the killing without providing any evidence to support his claims. However, Israel has used the deaths to launch a large scale aggression in Gaza.
Netanyahu opposed the formation of the Unity government of Palestinian Authority that included the Hamas as well. Netanyahu never hide his intention to do everything possible to weaken the Hamas.
Hamas in retaliation of the Israeli shelling has been firing rockets into the Israeli territory which have caused nothing more than panic among Israelis.
