US drone strikes once again killing 7 suspected militants

The United States drone has struck once again for the fourth time during this year killing 7 suspected militants and injuring three in Madakhel village of Dattakhel tehsil. The target this time were a vehicle and a house in North Waziristan tribal region where Pakistan army is also engaged in an operation against Taliban militants.

It is reported that missile attacks carried by unarmed US drones near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on a house and a motor vehicle destroyed the house and vehicle completely. The projectiles killed at least seven suspected militants and injured three according to the local sources.

The identities of the killed have been not known, however, four of them were foreign nationals.

The United States had stopped targeting suspected militants in Northern tribal region after the start of peace talks between government of Pakistan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Pakistan army is now conducting an operation Zarb-e-Azb against militants after the failure of the peace talks. The latest drone strike is fourth this year.

Pakistan has been protesting the missile strikes by US drones as the violation of sovereignty of the country.
