India Frees 9 Pakistani Inmates

It was recently reported from Lahore that India has decided to free 9 Pakistani inmates who they held captive after they were captured from the Indian side of the land.

At times the border is not set according to plan and people often move into the Indian side of the border. Once the Pakistanis are caught in the wrong area, they are jailed by the Indian army. Even though there haven’t been many incidents where the two parties have released the Pakistani prisoners, it was recently reported that India has finally decided to release 9 more prisoners who they held captive in Pakistan.

Back on 30^th May, Indian authorities released 37 Pakistani prisoners who included 32 fishermen. At times fishermen end up at the wrong side of the area and the Indian navy captures them and puts them into jail.

Even though there are several Pakistani people released by the Indian authorities, it is being said that at least 477 Pakistani prisoners, including 131 fishermen are still in the custody of India. No one knows about their future but if the peace between the two countries is prolonged and the two countries keep operating in the same way, there is a high possibility that they will both release each other’s prisoners.
