Malaysian Airline plane shot in Ukraine killing 295 persons
Friday, July 18th, 2014 3:13:51 by Nadeem BajwaMalaysian Airline plane crashed in Ukraine on Thursday July 17, 2014 killing all the 295 passengers and crew members on board. The plane was hit by missile. The Malaysian Airline flight MH-17 was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam.
According media reports Malaysia airline Boeing 777 passenger plane flying from Holland’s capital Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was crashed into the airspace of Eastern Ukraine. Malaysian officials said that there were 15 crew members and 285 passengers on board who all died as the result of the crash. The plane crashed in the area which is under complete control of the rebels in Ukraine.
Malaysian airline said on social networking site Twitter the flight MH-17 flight after flying from Amsterdam was in constant touch with the control tower however aircraft lost radar contact after entering the territory of Ukraine.
Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has ordered an investigation into the plane crash. The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has said that the rebels missiles targeted the plane whereas rebels denied the claims and said that it was shot by Ukraine forces.
Russian presidential spokesman said the president Vladimir Putin telephoned the Malaysian Prime Minister to express his regret over the crash. In the meantime France and Turkey has asked airlines to stop using the Ukraine airspace.
