Shoaib Akhtar lashes out at Pakistani Cricket Board
Friday, July 18th, 2014 8:26:14 by Nadeem BajwaShoaib Akhtar has lashed out the current administration of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) calling them “bunch of ignorant” while talking to NDTV. The former Pakistani pace bowler sees no hope in the improvement of cricket under the current administrators. Shoaib will be starting his coaching career in domestic cricket later this year.
Pace bowler, Shoaib Akhtar, who retired from the international cricket in 2011 has been very vocal against the Pakistani Cricket Board. He criticized the board’s decision to send a 10 member management team with the upcoming cricket series of Pakistani cricket team in Sri Lanka. Pakistani cricket squad will be consisting of 15 players.
Shoaib said that PCB has 700 employees and spends over Rs150 million to pay the salaries of those employees, however, the net result is nothing as the state of cricket in Pakistan is worsening.
“I don’t know what they are trying to do but this board is full of ignorant people and it is useless trying to talk sense into them,” Shoaib Akhtar said.
Shoaib Akhtar who once had shown his intention to provide his services to PCB to coach the cricket team is staring his coaching career with the State Bank cricket team later this year.
