Explosion in Quetta’s Kandhari Bazaar kills one
Sunday, July 27th, 2014 7:55:59 by Jamshed SindhuBlast of a time controlled explosive device in Quetta’s Kandhari Bazaar during the peak shopping hours has killed one person and wounded at least 10 on Sunday July 27, 2014. Injured are rushed to the hospital for medial treatment.
According to reports, an explosive device was planted in a drainage outside a shop in the Kandhari Bazaar of Quetta. The bomb exploded when the bazaar was full of people busy in shopping for Ramazan and Eid ul Fitr.
The emergency and rescue teams arrived at the blast scene and shifted the injured to the hospital for medical treatment.
The security forces cordoned off the area and started collecting the evidence to probe the bomb blast.
Bomb Disposal Squad official told reporters that explosive device was detonated using a timer.
The loud bang resulting from the explosion smashed rocked the area shattering the glass windows of the shops and buildings in the area.
