Russia granted Snowden 3 years residence permit

Edward Snowden, the former employee of the National Security Agency who revealed the secrets of massive electronic spying in the United States, can breathe relatively quiet for three years: Russia has given him a residence permit for that term, announced Thursday his Anatoli Kucherena lawyer.

The period counted from the first of August, Kucherena told a press conference that took place in the absence of the computer expert, who arrived in Moscow on June 23 last year from Hong Kong. Security reasons prevent being made public where Snowden works, even if he wanted to give that information, Kucherena said. He said Snowden while living in hiding, makes a relatively normal life, studying Russian and walks. The same reasons explain that security was not present at the press conference, but ” as soon as the slightest chance this ” Snowden appear before reporters, said the lawyer.
