ICC reported Saeed Ajmal for suspected bowling action
Monday, August 11th, 2014 3:30:32 by Khalil KhanInternational Cricket Council (ICC) officials reported Pakistani off spinner Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action after the Galle test in Sri Lanka. It is the second time Saeed Ajmal is reported for suspect action. Spin bowler has now 21 days to undergo testing to clear his bowling action.
The match officials handed the match report to the Pakistan cricket management after the conclusion of the first test match in Galle between the cricket teams of Pakistan and Sri Lanka. A number of deliveries were suspected in the report.
Ajmal will continue to bowl during the second and final test match against Sri Lanka as he is allowed under the ICC regulations before the test results of his bowling action are known. Pakistani offspinner has 21 days to undergo a mandatory bowling action test.
Saeed Ajmal was previously reported for suspect bowling action in 2009 while bowling doosra. His action was cleared by ICC after testing.
Team manager, Moin Khan, has expressed his confidence that Saeed Ajmal will be cleared in the re-test.
