Monday, August 11th, 2014 5:05:47 by Maleeha TareenPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman, Imran Khan, has alleged that former Supreme Court judge Khalilur Rehman Ramday, Najam Sethi and Riaz Kayani played key roles in the rigging of the elections 2013 so that Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) could form federal government while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday August 11, 2014.
Imran Khan said that his party has struggled for democracy and his party workers will protest peacefully on August 14. He warned that any Model Town Lahore like incident will destroy the country.
Khan said that democracy is the best option for prosperity of Pakistan, however, Nawaz Sharif is running the state like a monarchy destroying the country under heavy debt.
PTI chairman claimed that Fakhruddin G Ibrahim was appointed the chief election commissioner without any powers as part of the rigging plan. Justice (R) Riaz Kayani who previously served as lawyer of Sharif brothers was appointed the election commissioner in Punjab.
Imran said that Justice (R) Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday arranged a reception for Returning officers in which the former Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry delivered a speech in favor of Nawaz Sharif. Najam Sethi as care taker Chief Minister of Punjab shuffled the positions of the officials recruited by Muslim League (Nawaz).
Imran Khan alleged that just 2 days before the elections, millions of additional ballot papers were demanded in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala and Faisalabad. He further claimed that fake polling stations were created where fake ballot papers were used to cast votes.
Imran Khan said that Nawaz Sharif delivered victory speech on the night of May 11 and after that Khalil ur Rehman Ramday used his magic touch to change PTI victory into defeat. All those who helped Nawaz Sharif to win the elections in 2013 were awarded with undue favors.
He said that the former Chairman NAB Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari wrote a letter to the president that he doubts that Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry is planning fraud in upcoming elections with the help of a media group.
Imran told reporters that the Interior Minister himself has said in Parliament that 60 to 70 thousand votes in each constituency can not be verified.
“Martial law is not the solution to the country’s problems. We do not want any kind of violence,” said the PTI chairman.
“Nawaz Sharif is the Hosni Mubarak of Pakistan,” said Imran Khan. “People are scared that if they come on the streets, the military will come.
