Government will not hinder long marches, says Governor Punjab
Thursday, August 14th, 2014 3:19:35 by Jamshed SindhuChaudhry Sarwar, Governor of Punjab, has said on Thursday August 14, 2014 that Punjab government will not try to hinder long marches of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek. Governor said that protesters will not be allowed to enter the Red Zone area in Islamabad.
Governor Punjab told reporters that he has instructed the Punjab administration to provide the safe passage to Imran Khan’s azadi march as well as Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s inqelab march towards Islamabad.
Chaudhry Sarwar said he trusts Imran Khan and Dr. Tahirul Qadri that they will not try to harm their supporters during the long marches. He said that he hopes that both leaders would not try to take law and order situation in their hands.
He told reporters that none of the protesters would be allowed to enter the Red Zone area. The protesters would be allowed to reach the zero point in Rawalpindi according to the route agreed with the administration.
Governor also praised the role of Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan and MQM chief Altaf Hussain for resolving the matter.
